Accounting Clerk
REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager
LOCATION: MKC
SUMMARY
Responsible for a variety of daily accounting and fuel functions.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Compile and sort documents, such as truck sheets, sales reports, and bill of ladings.
- Maintain accurate records of fuel inventories and check and confirm deliveries.
- Receive fuel deliveries into the AS400.
- Track daily fuel inventory levels.
- Perform daily balancing functions.
- Make accounts receivable calls.
- Perform accounts payable duties.
- Prepare and mail invoices for services rendered.
- Communicate with external vendors and customers regarding invoices issued and received.
- Research and correct POS billing errors and PCAT issues.
- Communicate with managers and supervisors to verify daily operations.
- Other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Regularly required to sit.

- Occasionally required to stand and walk.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Read, write and fluently speak and understand the English language.
- Effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
- Read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Compute rate, ratio and percentages.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Report to work in a regular and timely basis.

High school diploma or GED plus one (1) year related experience or training. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient computer and 10 key skills. Must be able to work with figures rapidly and accurately.
